Temple Cycles 5th anniversary bike

Publié le par Adrien

This year, Temple Cycles has worked on two project that will be presented for the salon of the Interbike taking place in Las Vegas in some days.
Both bicycles have required a phenomenal amount of work and the one presented in this article is very special since it is the prototype of the Fifth Anniversary Limited Edition that will then introduce the Limited Edition.

The bike looks very classy with a lot of handcraft work.
Many parts are plated with copper, some are gilded or anodized, a few are painted or coated. This makes the bike very special.

The overall weight wasn't the main goal, "Copper is not light, even when it's thin it adds up quickly" said Lance Johnson, president of Groupe de tête.
Yet, the bike is anyway still in the light weight bike range with only 13.5 pounds.

Differences between this bike and the Limited Edition will be minor, there will have a hand scripting on the seat stays saying "Limited Edition - One of the five" and across the top tube "In Celebration of our Fifth Anniversary". Beside these extras, each frame will be signed and the headbadge will have a sapphire sit in it.
